Uzbekistan’s tourism saw tremendous damage in light of coronavirus outbreak in the world. According to the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the frequency of international tourism travels will decrease by 80% by the end of 2020 worldwide. As a result, 74 million workplaces will be cut; the area will see $800 billion loss.
The world is fighting coronavirus pandemic. The infection spread across the globe had a tremendous negative impact on different aspects of life, including labor migration.
Unemployment and poverty rates in times of pandemic remain a serious problem even in the most developed countries. The number of jobless people in Uzbekistan has also increased. In particular, according to early estimation, pandemic might impact the income of 450 thousand families.
The field of statistics in Uzbekistan will change. This is linked to the harmonization of domestic methods with international standards. According to experts, this will ensure the effectiveness and correctness of the ongoing reforms within the framework of the current policy of the leadership of the State.
